Mural Project
Sarah's goal with this project is to create a mural that resembles the looseness and joy of her sketchbook pages. Her proposal combines a page from her sketchbook that emphasizes the Arts with Salem landmarks to make it the perfect theme for the Mural Slam. In the sketch, a woman sits on a quilted chair holding a pencil, surrounded by collage-like elements of varying landscapes, quilt patterns, and Salem landmarks.

About the Artist
Sarah Egan is an artist whose work is dedicated to pulling people out of isolation through combining realistic figures, bold flat shapes, and moody landscapes. After earning a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and mentoring under some of the most successful muralists in the field, she has had the pleasure of creating and assisting on murals all across the Boston area.
