Salem Arts Festival Gallery 2026 - Intent to Apply
Thank you for your interest in the Salem Arts Festival Gallery! Over 10,000 people regularly attend this family-friendly festival, transforming downtown Salem into an opportunity for the arts community to showcase a wide range of talents, including a multidisciplinary gallery located at the heart of the festival.
THE INTENT TO APPLY FOR THE GALLERY IS CLOSED, BUT WALK-INS ARE STILL WELCOME THIS WEEKEND!
Art Drop Off – Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Square - DOWNSTAIRS
Friday, May 29, 5 pm to 8 pm
Saturday, May 30, 9 am to 12 pm
The submission fee is $10 per piece or $25 for 3 pieces. Cash or checks payable to Salem Main Streets are preferred, Venmo to @SalemMainStreets is possible. Submission fees are non-refundable.
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces. At least 2 pieces must be for sale. If any work is sold, it will not be removed from the gallery show until the show is closed. The Salem Arts Festival (a Salem Main Streets/Creative Collective project) will take 20% of sales to cover costs of the festival.
Jurors for the 2026 gallery include Anna Dugan, Petra Slinkard, and Patrick Sporleder.
Notification of Acceptance: Saturday, May 30, mid to late afternoon – via email
Works Not Accepted MUST be picked up at Old Town Hall:
Saturday, May 30, 4:30 pm to 6 pm
Sunday, May 31, 1 pm to 3 pm
Exhibit Dates: Work chosen for exhibition will be kept over the week and will be on display June 5-7, 2026 during the festival.
Pick Up Date for Accepted Work – Gallery pieces MUST be picked up at Old Town Hall at the end of the festival on Sunday, June 7, 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
We hope you will join us for the Friday night opening, June 5 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Gallery awards will be announced to the public at the festival on Friday night, award winners will be informed in advance.
